Movement is key to human survival, and the body thrives on controlled and frequent movement. However, when injury and pain are on board, movement quickly becomes complicated, limited, and often dysfunctional and inefficient.

As movement and rehabilitation specialists, our therapists use exercise to address the impaired areas that are at the root of the problem, or that resulted from the injury or surgery. The movements are scaled to your specific needs, abilities, and goals which you and your therapist have discussed.  Exercise has many benefits and has been shown in numerous research studies to have positive effects on pain, mood, and health.

Our movement training consists of a mixture of breathing, stretching, strengthening, motor control, and balance training focused to improve:

  • Movement patterning and coordination
  • Joint mobility and range of motion
  • Posture endurance
  • Muscle flexibility
  • Strength
  • Stability
  • Balance

These exercises will not only enhance the results of your treatment, they’ll also help you to maintain your progress between visits and long afterwards.

Move well and then move often! Return to doing more of what you love!
